As Christians, we are ALL called to be prophets—to be a mouthpiece or a
spokesperson for God. “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all
people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will
pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. And everyone who calls on
the name of the Lord will be saved.” Paul mentions here in Acts 2: 17,18 and 21 that
to prophecy us to build-up and encourage individual Christians of the church. It was
true back in the Biblical times and it is still equally true even today.
We live in the days where…Gay marriage is legalized. Planned parenthood is
institutionalized. Just last July 25 at Detroit, USA, a Satanic Statue was unveiled
through what was deemed the largest Satanic public ceremony. Signs are
everywhere. The end times are just around the corner…and HELLO? What are we
still doing?
WE ARE CALLED TO BE PROPHETIC. We are called to be the voice that stands up for
what is right, and not to blend in with the goings of the ‘cool’ crowd. We are called to
speak up for the truth and not hide in silence. The world nowadays is blinded by too
much lies disguised in the words “human rights.”As Minister Joe Wright once
prayed, “We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have
exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it
welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot anti-
abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children
and called it building self-esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We
have coveted our neighbour’s possessions and then called it ambition. We have
polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.
We have ridiculed the time-honoured values of our forefathers and called it
enlightenment.”
WE ARE CALLED TO BE PRODUCTIVE. Our lives are designed to be platforms to
display the glory of God. We must all live in such a way that even just our actions
alone could speak the Gospel. Because also, WE ARE CALLED TO LIVE A LIFE OF
PRAISE.
